Weaving Twills

Edinburgh

I was literally so busy in Edinburgh I didn't seem to ever stop - but I had the most amazing time! I love Edinburgh, I feel as though it's my home. I was working with James Donald who runs PickOne studios - whilst there he was in the middle of moving studio which is extremely exciting and we were focusing on using his new table top looms to create samples for future workshops. He also has a sweet little dog called Domino who kept us on our toes in the studio! These photos are all from my first day with James...

The Ferens Gallery, Hull

I've just found out two of my pieces - a pencil drawing and an abstract print have been selected for the Ferens gallery in Hulls open exhibition. It runs from February 15th until April (I will confirm the actual date shortly) and has a whole variety of amazing work from all over! It's always a really interesting show and full of great talent.

Artlink - Hull

I now have a show of my work on at Artlink in Hull.
You can read about them on their website here; http://www.artlink.uk.net/index.php?idsection=4&subid=1

It is displayed in "The Pocket" and is on show 1st February - 28th February and open Monday - Saturday 10 - 4. I will post professional photos shortly. It's lovely getting to see your work in a gallery setting all come together. I made sure when working on this collection that all of the colours would work well together, even though pieces are fairly different.

The show includes several tapestries created on frames, some loom woven tartan fabric and two pieces of furniture both upholstered by me with fabric woven by me. In the main gallery art Artlink there is also an exhibition called 'The Old Curiosity Shop' which is marvelous.
